Vizrt introduces cloud-hosted TriCaster Vectar and TriCaster Now on AWS Marketplace, offering flexible pricing and easier access for live video production in news, sports, and corporate events

Vizrt has announced the availability of its cloud-hosted video production systems, TriCaster Vectar and TriCaster Now, in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace.

This move is set to make remote live production more accessible to content creators across industries, ranging from corporate communications to live news and sports events.

By launching these two cloud-ready production switchers on AWS Marketplace, Vizrt aims to simplify the process for users looking to test, purchase, and manage their production tools. AWS Marketplace, a curated digital catalog of software running on AWS, offers customers a streamlined way to integrate Vizrt’s solutions into their cloud environment. This new accessibility offers flexible software-as-a-service (SaaS) pricing options and a free trial of TriCaster Vectar.

Davide Cortassa, Vizrt’s Product Manager for Cloud Live Production, emphasised the benefits of this move: “AWS Marketplace provides a centralised portal for access, testing, and billing of cloud-based TriCaster video production tools, making it easier than ever for content creators to take their first step in achieving truly remote live productions. AWS customers can leverage their committed cloud spend and enjoy the reduced travel and transport costs and carbon emissions that cloud live productions provide.”

Solutions for Productions of All Sizes

Vizrt’s offerings on AWS cater to a wide range of production needs. The TriCaster Vectar, formerly known as Viz Vectar Plus, is tailored for large-scale productions such as live news and sports, supporting up to 44 external sources. The system is available for free testing as a fully functional, watermarked version, with AWS infrastructure costs managed by the customer.

For smaller productions, Vizrt has introduced TriCaster Now. Supporting up to eight inputs, TriCaster Now is designed for entry-level and seasonal productions, including corporate town halls. It uses a managed SaaS model with a flexible, usage-based pricing system.

“There’s a TriCaster for everyone, whether a seasoned broadcaster or an enterprise business just starting their journey towards producing professional multi-camera town halls or content for customers,” Cortassa added. “With cloud becoming such an integral part of the modern technology stack, making TriCaster available directly in AWS Marketplace was an obvious move.”

AWS Certification and Partnership

To bolster this product launch, Vizrt has also achieved the AWS Media & Entertainment Competency certification, validating its expertise in the field.

This certification complements Vizrt’s AWS ISV Accelerate accreditation earned last year, which reassures customers of the company’s compliance with AWS’s best practices in live production and media asset management (MAM) solutions.

Both TriCaster Vectar and TriCaster Now are now available on AWS Marketplace.
