Blackmagic Design Announces DaVinci Resolve 20

A major update adds over 100 new features and AI tools to Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve software
DaVinci Resolve 20 is designed to assist customers with all stages of their workflow. New AI tools like AI IntelliScript, AI Animated Subtitles and AI Multicam SmartSwitch have joined the lineup, while familiar features have also received updates.
Thanks to powerful AI innovations like IntelliScript, the software can now automate editing tasks easily. Creating subtitles also becomes effortless with AI Animated Subtitles and AI Multicam SmartSwitch allows editors to assemble a timeline with camera angles based on speaker detection.
But it’s not just AI magic. For visual artists, Fusion’s upgraded multi-layer compositing has been updated. Colourists can also enjoy a Chroma Warp tool, giving them unprecedented control over hues and tones. For audio, Fairlight introduces clip-level six-band EQ and dynamic audio matching, so soundtracks feel richer and more polished.
Collaboration has been reimagined too. Editors, colourists and clients can now connect in the cloud, reviewing projects remotely.
On top of all that, DaVinci Resolve 20 is already preparing creators for the future with Apple Immersive Video support for Vision Pro.
Grant Petty, Blackmagic Design CEO, commented, “It’s exciting to see how we can provide tools with DaVinci Resolve to help our customers spend more time exploring their creativity”
