The three-day IBC2025 Conference, taking place 12–14 September at the RAI Amsterdam, is set to examine the forces reshaping the media industry. With diverse sessions, peer-reviewed papers and leading influencers, this upcoming event has unveiled a line-up that will bring together ideas and people from across the sector.
Breaking new ground, speakers and panellists from non-traditional media brands will join global giants, players expanding their broadcast presence and companies in rapidly growing markets. This event sets the stage for companies such as TikTok, Netflix, PGA Tour and JioStar. Additionally, the line-up will include influential commentators like Evan Shapiro.
“At a time when media’s traditional borders are dissolving, the IBC Conference is where the entire global industry gathers to make sense of it all,” said Sally Watts, head of content for IBC. “Our 2025 programme reflects the urgency, experimentation and imagination defining the sector – with a dynamic speaker line-up that spans social platforms, broadcasting giants, global streamers, major studios and infrastructure innovators.”
Key highlights of IBC2025 are the speaker discussions and panels. This year these sessions will cover AI in broadcasting, the future of streaming, MovieLabs’ 2030 Vision, evolving distribution and the PGA Tour’s Emmy-winning AR golf coverage, closing with Mike Darcey on rights and economics.
Alongside these sessions, the IBC2025 Technical Papers Programme features 10 peer-reviewed sessions addressing real-world broadcast and digital media challenges. Key topics include AI, 5G, low-latency streaming, wireless advances, IP live production, content authentication and immersive video innovations.
