Two Chairs Productions and Dimension Studio join for new Camelot series

Sci-fi and fantasy fans take note: Two Chairs Productions and Dimension Studio have announced a groundbreaking development deal for the series Camelot

Two Chairs Productions and Dimension Studio are set to co-produce an eight-part series titled Camelot. Created and directed by Christian Camargo, Camelot will be an action-packed story of a post-apocalyptic America at a crossroads between destruction and salvation.

The two companies will pool financial, creative and technical resources to create a production-ready series package. Virtual production will be placed at the heart of the production, with final-pixel digital environments forming a key part of the sales material, alongside scripts written specifically for the VP stage.

After questioning how a studio-level show could be produced on an independently financed budget, Peter Resnick, partner and co-founder of Two Chairs Productions, began to consider virtual production. From here, the team approached Dimension Studio. “The co-production idea emerged as an opportunity to do something different – let’s embed our team with Dimension and shape the show for virtual production.”

For Steve Jelley, co-CEO of Dimension Studio, this collaboration now provides an exciting opportunity to use virtual production in the early stages of development. Jelley commented, “It’s a huge opportunity for our teams to be directly involved in the development of a show at the earliest stages, working with the screenwriters to craft a television series.”

“We genuinely believe we can hit a price point for this style of show that will change the landscape of high-end television production,” Jelley concluded.

The development deal will run until autumn 2025 when distributors will be approached.
