For-a’s powerful new switcher is ready for Al Sharqiya’s move to Ultra HD
Al Sharqiya Group, Iraq’s first privately owned broadcasting company, has installed an HVS-1200 production switcher from For-a, a leading broadcast technology provider. The news production studio currently operates in HD, but the switcher supports 12G-SDI for the channel’s future transition to Ultra HD.
Founded in 2004, Al Sharqiya Group delivers a diverse range of channels across the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Viewers can access its content via satellite, OTT services and social media.
The new HVS-1200 switcher gives operators complete control over cameras and sources. For-a’s unique MELiteTM technology enhances production by simulating a six M/E switcher in HD.
A built-in multi-viewer also simplifies monitoring and video management. This allows operators to control monitor walls and on-set displays from a single source.
