Crossroads Church goes HD with Ikegami cameras

Crossroads Church is gearing up for a clearer view, turning to Ikegami cameras for its new Dayton campus
Crossroads Church in Ohio has chosen Ikegami HDK-X500 cameras for the new Dayton campus, scheduled to open 20 April 2025. Housed inside Dayton Mall, the 90,000-square-foot facility will replace an existing establishment at the city’s Bellbrook Middle School.
The selection of Ikegami Unicam-XE HDX-X500 HD HDR cameras was natural for the team at Crossroads who have already worked with Ikegami technology for church broadcasting. Patrick Buescher, assistant director of technical operations, explained, “Examples are HDK-95C/4K systems at our Oakley campus and HC-HD300 models at The George and Eastside in Cincinnati.”
Three HDK-X500 3-CMOS HD HDR cameras have been selected for the Dayton campus. Each has global-shutterimagers that ensure high resolution and precise colour rendition.
The team in charge of the installation looked to deliver the most professional results possible whether televising in sunlight, artificial light or hybrid conditions. Ikegami cameras deliver this production flexibility with added options for camera positions and connectivity.
Additional highlights include the cameras’ ability to handle a wide range of lighting levels and the integral video processing DSP. This feature helps to implement automatic optical vignetting correction.
“Above all, we find Ikegami cameras very logical to operate, allowing our camera teams to achieve their production goals confidently with a minimum of pre-shoot familiarisation,” added Buescher.
With over 6000 viewers watching services weekly, Ikegami technology is more important than ever for supporting Crossroad Church’s growth.
