Accedo Extends ITVX Streaming Service to PlayStation

Expanding Access to Premier UK Content

Accedo has announced its collaboration with ITV, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, to bring ITVX, ITV’s premier streaming service, to Sony PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles in the UK. This expansion aims to broaden ITVX’s reach, making its diverse array of content accessible to a larger audience.

A Rich Content Library

Launched in December 2022, ITVX offers a rich mix of live linear content, curated FAST channels, and an extensive video-on-demand (VOD) library. The service features a wide range of programming, including new exclusive shows, premium dramas, documentaries, US series, comedies, reality shows, and blockbuster films. As an ad-funded service, ITVX also offers a subscription tier, ITVX Premium, providing an ad-free experience and additional content.

Broadening ITVX’s Reach

Already well-distributed across the UK with 40 million registered users, ITVX’s debut on Sony PlayStation consoles aims to further increase its audience. Accedo, having supported ITV in the initial launch of ITVX and with two decades of expertise in developing video user experiences across multiple platforms, is a natural partner for this expansion.
