BCNEXXT and NPC Media partner for Vipe playout technology

Australian service provider NPC Media has chosen BCNEXXT Vipe in a major technology refresh to enhance broadcast operations and improve media delivery

BCNEXXT, the developers of the advanced playout platform Vipe, has recently announced a new Service Provider Partner agreement. The deal is with NPC Media, the Australian managed playout service provider for several of the nation’s major networks, and will provide a new level of efficiency, flexibility and reliability to their services.

Following an extensive evaluation period, NPC Media identified Vipe as the optimal solution to meet its long-term strategic objectives. “Vipe is the most advanced containerised microservices-based playout software on the market and is particularly suitable to our highly reactive environment, and will enable NPC to provide truly scalable, cost-effective and highly reliable services to the Australasia market,” said Paul Mullen, CEO of NPC Media.

Vipe changes the traditional one-to-one channel-to-server setup, turning fixed costs into usage-based models. This technology also unifies linear, FAST, streaming and VoD channels on a single platform and supports broadcast-grade features like Dolby, HDR, and SCTE triggers for modern media needs.

BCNEXXT will work closely with NPC Media to integrate the Vipe platform. Together, the companies are setting a new benchmark for future-ready playout in the region. “We are looking forward to working with NPC Media as part of their multi-channel technology refresh,” says Sander Ten Dam, CEO of BCNEXXT. “We have a high regard for their operations and believe we can enable them to stay at the forefront of the transitioning playout services business in Australasia, while helping them broaden their services offering.”
