The first key titles have been revealed for this year's Games of the Future event, promising an action-packed phygital sports experience for fans in Abu Dhabi

Gaming has entered a new era, where digital and physical experiences meet. Embracing this trend, Phygital International (PI), the exclusive rights holder of Games of the Future, has announced the blockbuster titles that are set to thrill audiences in Abu Dhabi from 18-23 December. From shooters and MOBAs to fighting and football, Games of the Future 2025 will showcase well-known games like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Fortnite, Fatal Fury, UFL and 3on3 Freestyle.

This year’s event sets itself apart by merging the speed and power of traditional sport with the skill and drama of esports. Fans and athletes alike will enjoy a unique format that blends real-world challenges and popular video games across 11 disciplines.

Counter-Strike 2, a tactical shooter, will anchor the Phygital Shooter competition. As an icon of competitive gaming, Counter-Strike 2 aims to test precision, strategy and teamwork. Alongside it, Dota 2, a multiplayer online battle arena, will challenge teams in the MOBA PC competition. The widely played Fortnite will headline the Battle Royale discipline and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will test players’ reflexes to determine a champion in the digital phase of the Phygital Fighting competition. Alongside these flagship titles, this year’s Phygital Football competition will feature UFL. As for the Phygital Basketball discipline, 3on3 Freestyle will bring its fast-paced play to the tournament.

Together, these disciplines will fuse virtual gameplay with real-world action. “Having these iconic titles at the Games of the Future 2025 marks a defining moment for both gaming and sport,” said Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International. “This is where elite athleticism meets the creativity and energy of competitive gaming to create something truly extraordinary, demonstrating that phygital sport isn’t just the next chapter; it’s the future of global competition.”

Taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), this tournament will unite the world’s top phygital athletes for six days of competition. In addition to the tournaments, fans can expect immersive VR experiences, cultural showcases and interactive fan zones.
