Globecast and GlobalM partner with World Curling federation

Fans around the globe can now watch World Curling events live thanks to a new partnership between Globecast and GlobalM

Global media solutions firm Globecast and Swiss IP video platform GlobalM have announced their collaboration with World Curling to deliver live international coverage. The partnership highlights a shared commitment to transforming the way sports are distributed worldwide.

Globecast’s expertise in global media distribution combined with GlobalM’s cloud-native IP video transport technology creates a secure, scalable and cost-effective live streaming solution. As a result, World Curling rights holders can now access these live feeds from anywhere in the world.

Traditionally, live sports distribution has relied heavily on satellite and legacy networks. However, Globecast and GlobalM offer a modern alternative. Steve MacMurray, head of digital media development, said, “By combining our global expertise with next-generation IP and cloud-based workflows, we’re helping rights holders simplify the complex, deliver content more efficiently and reach audiences everywhere.”

MacMurray also highlighted the technology behind the partnership, saying, “It’s closely aligned with our new Content Exchange platform – unifying technology and storytelling to make content discovery and distribution smarter, faster and more accessible.”

World Curling is now embracing innovative technology to grow reach and engagement. This project focuses on both broadcasting matches and setting new benchmarks for how federations, including padel and motorsports, can harness IP solutions to connect with audiences at scale.
