Infiled lights Circuit Paul Ricard
New 15m-wide transparent LED displays among the largest transparent LED screens in Europe

Visitors to Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France, are now greeted by a striking new feature: a 15m-wide transparent LED display stretching across the venue’s main entrance. Custom-designed by Infiled in collaboration with French integrator ND Tech Med, the installation ranks among the largest transparent LED screens in Europe, combining technical precision with bold architectural impact.
The screen, made up of 96 panels tailored to fit 32 glass canopy windows with millimetre accuracy, broadcasts live race coverage, interviews, as well as sponsor messaging. Measuring 15×5.4m (81 sq m), the screen features a horizontal pixel pitch of 4mm and vertical pitch of 8mm, ensuring clear visuals for moving crowds without compromising transparency. Balancing light transmission with screen intensity was key: too transparent and the images would wash out; too opaque and the display would lose its visual elegance.
The structural challenges were also significant. Despite being lightweight, the screen required a custom fixing system to accommodate thermal expansion, ensure stability and allow rapid maintenance. The design process included visits to Infiled’s Barcelona showroom and three on-site demos to fine-tune the concept.
