Rise Broadcast lifts tomorrow’s leaders to new heights

If you’re ready to lead, Rise’s Elevate programme is designed to give women professionals in broadcast the tools, mentors and confidence to take charge

Known for championing gender diversity in the broadcast and media technology sector, Rise is furthering its impactful work by launching the Elevate programme. This initiative is designed to fast-track the careers of mid-level professional women working across broadcast media technology.

Running from June to July 2026, the six-week hybrid programme combines virtual and in-person sessions, real-world leadership challenges and structured peer learning. The programme is made to strengthen leadership capability, drive behavioural change and create a powerful cross-industry network of future broadcast leaders.

Elevate is open to women working across the broadcast ecosystem, including engineering, operations, technology, production, sales, marketing, project management, commercial and business roles. Participants can either put themselves forward or be nominated by their organisation.

“Women in broadcast are incredibly capable, yet too many stall or step back at the point where leadership pressure, visibility and expectations intensify. That’s not a confidence issue; it’s a system issue,” says Deborah Cross, operations director at Rise. “Elevate exists to meet women where they are, give them the tools, support and networks they need and ensure organisations don’t lose talent they can’t afford to replace.”

Through the programme, participants tackle real-world leadership challenges with mentor guidance and peer support, all within a flexible hybrid format that fits around busy schedules. By the end, they gain a practical toolkit and the confidence to lead with impact.

The programme is limited to 30 participants from around the globe, ensuring an immersive experience. “Following a successful programme with Rise AV, we are building something that goes beyond individual development; this is about reshaping leadership in broadcast for the long term,” concludes Cross.
