Space City Home Network upgrades to Solid State Logic mixer

With a Solid State Logic System T S300-32, Space City Home Network in Houston is upgrading its control room, enhancing Dante audio for MLB and NBA broadcasts

Texas-based Space City Home Network (SCHN) continues to build its Dante network infrastructure with Solid State Logic technology. This regional sports network is now using a System T S300-32 console and providing coverage across five states via satellite, cable and OTT platforms.

The studio recently replaced its long-serving C10 console with a System T S300. This equipment now runs pre- and post-game shows over the Dante network and controls new and legacy equipment through Net I/O converters and stage boxes. Its Dante integration lets the desk manage most network routes, centralising audio control for all productions. Overall, the deployment was fast and efficient, with the console fully operational within just a few days.

San Francisco-based Advanced Systems Group LLC (ASG) supplied and integrated the new System T platform. “We deployed System T at a former owner’s facility with seamless results. When SCHN needed to replace the C10, System T was the clear choice for its flexibility and SSL’s outstanding support,” said Tyler Berry of ASG.

Space City Home Network now broadcasts around 250 games each year, continuing to strengthen its presence as a leading regional sports network.
