Broadcast AV at ISE
ISE 2026 is once again heading to Barcelona – and this time, it’s broaching the ‘broadcast AV’ trend that’s been gaining traction

As broadcast and AV continue to converge, both industries are navigating their new shared reality, with companies on either side making strides in content development, storage and distribution; remote production; over-IP orchestration and much more. From 3-6 February, broadcast AV will be a top topic at ISE, Fira Barcelona’s annual AV conference. Between the Broadcast AV Zone and the Broadcast AV Summit, there’s plenty to explore – read on for a taste of what’s in store.
On the floor
Spanning Fira Barcelona’s Hall 4, the Broadcast AV Zone gathers exhibitors across categories like content creation and management, media distribution, mixed reality and more. Visitors can explore the latest broadcast equipment and AV software, from cameras and tracking gear to switchers, virtual sets and audio consoles from vendors like Blackmagic Design, Vizrt, Disguise, Clear-Com and Ross Video, among dozens of others.
Exhibitors in the Broadcast AV Zone can touch on timely subjects like tech convergence and the shift towards AV-over-IP, virtual production and esports events – all of which are poised to define this year’s industry landscape.
Exhibitor registration is still open. If you’re looking to attend only, you can browse the exhibitor list or study the ISE floor plan.
Be your own broadcaster
Presented in partnership with international broadcast organisation IABM, the Broadcast AV Summit is aimed at brands and corporations as well as broadcasters and content creators who want to connect directly with audiences. The summit, chaired by industry advisor and senior executive Ciarán Doran, will explore the creator, experience and streaming economies.
The creator economy isn’t a new concept, but it’s one that’s grown exponentially. While individuals dominate this field, they’ve paved the way for brands and organisations to follow suit, connecting with consumers in a way they previously couldn’t: immediately. In other words, these creators are bypassing the traditional broadcast routes that were once required to reach the masses.
The experience economy “combines the four areas of entertainment, education, escapism and aesthetics,” according to the ISE website. It’s an ecosystem that focuses on how people feel – ‘the memory becomes the product’ – and where broadcast-quality content is a key differentiator.
Lastly, the streaming economy catapulted to the fore during the Covid-19 pandemic, when viewers were stuck at home. Studios like Netflix and Disney struck gold, as did companies specialising in short-form content (YouTube and TikTok, for example). Whether on social media or a smart TV, streaming has become the norm for video consumption – and many broadcasters are launching their own dedicated platforms.
The Broadcast AV Summit will also touch on themes like the AI revolution, virtual studios and content accessibility – find the full programme here.
Catch the Broadcast AV Summit on Thursday, 5 February from 2-6pm in CC5.1. To enhance the experience, consider joining the Broadcast AV Show Floor Tour from 11am to 12:30pm, before the summit begins. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance via myISE.
As broadcast and AV continue their crossover, we’ll be seeing an even greater shift towards streaming platforms, mixed reality, over-IP delivery, high-quality video content and AI-powered accessibility. ISE 2026 will explore these innovations, giving attendees a head start in a new year – and a new era – for the industry.
