NAB Show 2026: Start-ups to see

We highlight the 12 companies exhibiting at NAB Show’s Startup Pavillion

Every year, NAB gathers the broadcast industry for a long weekend under the Las Vegas sun. With hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees, the annual event is one of the industry’s largest. Visitors flock from all over the world to get their hands on new tech, hear from experts and connect with one another.

This year, 12 companies will make up the Startup Pavillion, an exclusive area reserved for newcomers. We explore each business, noting their specialties (this year, AI automation is a big one) and what they have in store for those who stop by.

SpliceGeist

SpliceGeist uses machine learning to automate post-production workflows, including dailies, VFX and deliverables, from camera ingest to final output. Designed to be modular and security-conscious, the platform runs on both local processing hardware and an optional cloud portal.

SpliceGeist can handle:

  • Dailies: Format detection, colour management, burn-ins, watermarking, multiple output formats and metadata tagging.
  • Conform: Automated clip matching that validates results against both metadata and visual reference.
  • VFX: Multi-vendor, multi-element shot tracking with automated pull generation, naming validation and delivery monitoring.
  • Deliverables: Intelligent format management driven by delivery schedules and project specs captured at onboarding.

Eon Media

Eon Media helps broadcasters, sports organisations and media companies unlock the full potential of their content archives. The company’s AI-powered products extract metadata from video, audio, images and text, making content easily discoverable and monetisable.

The Eon Media product suite includes:

  • eonArchivesAI, which transforms archival content by extracting over 14 comprehensive metadata attributes, enabling deep search.
  • eonAudioAIMetadata, which turns unstructured audio clips into searchable, analysable and monetisable assets.
  • eonSportsAI, which generates dynamic, custom highlights from live content in near real-time and extracts stats from archived sports footage using advanced AI models.

Edit on the Spot

Edit on the Spot is a multi-stream, real-time, AI-powered automatic video editing platform that captures streams and produces branded segments and clips instantly – without the need for manual editing. It’s an easy-to-use tool that targets conference organisers, venues, event marketers and video production teams who value instant delivery over combing through hours of footage.

Aina Tech

Aina Tech has developed holograms that run natively on consumer devices. Captured with standard video cameras and viewable on any screen – from VR headsets to smartphones – the company makes immersive, real-world holography instantly accessible. Aina Tech also fuels its AI models with 3D content, training it to think in three dimensions and building the foundation for spatial video across sectors like live music, filmmaking and more.

Zonic

Zonic is an AI-powered video editor that automates rough cuts, generates variations and delivers personalised edits based on previous patterns. The platform includes handy content descriptions and an in-built AI partner (chatbot) that takes commands and manipulates the final output in real time.

CacheWave

CacheWave enables broadcasters, OTT platforms and live streaming providers to deliver ultra-low latency video by moving content delivery from distant cloud data centres directly into ISP access networks. By streaming from edge nodes located just one hop away from viewers, CacheWave reduces start-up time, eliminates buffering and ensures smooth playback. The platform supports 4/8K streaming and is future-ready for ultra-high-resolution formats, bringing IMAX-scale video experiences to homes over the internet.

At NAB, CacheWave will demo a live side-by-side comparison of a baseline set-up (video delivered via a traditional cloud/CDN path) versus its own set-up (delivered via edge nodes). A real-time dashboard will highlight differences in latency and stream stability.

EyePop.ai

EyePop.ai lets businesses analyse images and video using pre-built AI models, training those models instantly and iteratively. Designed for technical non-experts, the platform can detect and count objects, track movement and automatically label content, turning any visual input into data. EyePop can be deployed anywhere – on-prem, in the cloud or on edge devices.

CloudFolder

CloudFolder offers high-speed storage in the form of CloudDrive, its iSCSI-to-cloud solution that comes as a portable block device. CloudDrive prides itself on data security, efficiency, scalability and compatibility with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. A true plug-and-play accessory, it reduces hardware costs while integrating with existing applications.

Flomenco

Flo by Flomenco is an AI-powered media automation tool that discovers, creates and delivers assets. Connecting its users’ entire media ecosystems, Flo uses artificial intelligence to find assets in seconds, pairing with storage solutions like Google Drive, Box and Dropbox and indexing files securely.
